Mr. Kenneth Dean Filbeck, 85 of Sherman, Texas, formerly of McKenzie, died Thursday, July 14, 2022 at the Traditions Assisted Living in Sherman.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie with Bro. Jacob Harris officiating. 

Mr. Filbeck was born July 15, 1936, in Crane, Missouri, to the late Joe and Bertha (McNish) Filbeck.  He worked for General Electric as a mechanist, served in the Navy during the Vietnam war, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. 

Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sylvia Ann Filbeck, three sisters, Betty Delaney, Flora Cleveland, Bonnie Filbeck, four brothers, Garland Filbeck, George Filbeck, Jim Filbeck, and Paul Filbeck.

He is survived by his daughter, Olivia Pottebaum (Don) of Prosper, Texas.  He also leaves two grandchildren, Bailey Pottebaum and Brett Pottebaum.
