McKENZIE, Tenn. - Private graveside services for Kenneth R. Travis are Saturday, April 4, 2020. 

“We are dishearted that we are unable to give all Dad’s family and friends the opportunity to pay their respects at this time. We intend to gather when this world has righted itself to celebrate his life and mourn his passing. Until that time your thoughts and prayers will sustain us in our time of grief” Kim & Karen

Mr. Travis, 81, died at his residence on Wednesday, March 31, 2020. He was a member and deacon of New Prospect Baptist Church, a retail grocer, store manager and butcher. He is also a Mason, member of the Caledonia Lodge #96 and member of the Lions Club. Mr. Travis was born March 15, 1939 in Christmasville, Tenn. to Miles and Marie Featherstone Travis.

He is survived by two daughters, Kim (Gary) Gilmore of McKenzie and Karen Hutson of McKenzie, a sister, Ann (Greg) Hammett of Cedar Grove and a brother, Charles (Pat) Travis of Medina and two grandchildren, Kendra Gilmore and Carter Hutson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of forty-four years, Annette Cox Travis and two brothers, William Travis and Larry Wayne Travis.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at Carroll Bank & Trust.
