DRESDEN, Tenn. - Mary "Lillian" Brooks Stoker, 98 of Dresden, Tennessee died Saturday, May 13, 2023 at her family home. 
She was born December 6, 1924 in Boydsville, Kentucky to W. Edward Brooks and Oina Williams Brooks of the Palmersville area.  She graduated from Mayfield High School. 
She married Fred Coleman Stoker of Dresden on October 18, 1947. 
Lillian earned a B.S. in Education from Bethel College and taught for many years in Dresden.  After her teaching career, she opened Lillian's Bridal and Florist in Gleason, Tennessee.  For years she enjoyed her work outfitting bridal parties, arranging flowers, and coordinating events.  After her retirement, she remained active in the community through her membership in various clubs, including the Family and Community Education Club and the Weakley County Retired Teachers.  She was an unwavering support to her husband's and children's family business, Fred Stoker & Sons, Inc.  Her hobbies included studying the Bible, sewing, and hosting and entertaining people in her home.  She was a devout Christian and a member of Southside Church of Christ in Dresden.  

Lillian is survived by her son, Bobby Stoker and daughter, Judith Fisher, five grandchildren, Ryan (Ashley) Fisher of Dyer, Doug (Luanna) Fisher of Hornbeak, Ben (Tiffany) Fisher of Ripley, Abbey Stoker and Blake Stoker of Martin, four great-grandchildren, Myles Fisher, Sofia Fisher, Caleb Casey and Ryder Brabec.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Coleman Stoker, son, Ronald Stoker, and grandson, Bobby Brooks Stoker II.  

Funeral services for Lillian Stoker are 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Southside Church of Christ in Dresden, Tennessee, with burial to follow in Sunset Cemetery in Dresden.  Visitation with the family is Tuesday at the church beginning at 11 a.m. and continuing until service time at 1 p.m.
