Joint  Memorial Service for Mother, Son

HUNTINGDON, Tenn.  - Mr. Nolan Shae Turner, 11, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday October 18, 2023.

Joint  funeral services for Nolan Turner and Courtney Stafford Turner will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday at First Baptist Church Huntingdon. Interment will follow in McLemoresville Cemetery.  Brother Kevin Gallimore, Ashley Minton and Jesse Turner officiating.

The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church Huntingdon on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM.

In an effort to help comfort children that will be in attendance, we ask that you please honor Courtney and Nolan by wearing a fun shirt they would enjoy.

Examples for Nolan include his favorite teams, the STL Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, Tennessee Vols and Nashville Predators. Other examples include Pokemon, video games, WWE, legos and Star Wars.

Examples for Courtney include Halloween, vintage or retro, band or music shirts.

He was born September 26, 2012; a 5th-grade student at Huntingdon Middle School. He enjoyed sports, video games and being a big brother. He was preceded in death by his mother Courtney Stafford Turner; maternal great-grandparent Betty Depriest, maternal great-grandparents  Joe and Jeffie Stafford; paternal great-grandparents Buddy Carter, Charles and Linda Bynum, Rex Turner Sr., and aunt, Kirsten Bynum.

He is survived by his father, Jesse Turner of Huntingdon, Tennessee; sister, Ella Turner of Huntingdon, Tennessee; paternal grandparents, Jason (Amy) Bynum of Huntingdon, Tennessee, Rex Turner of Hollow Rock, Tennessee ; maternal grandparents, Brent (Amber) Stafford of Atwood, Tennessee, Linda Scarbrough of Atwood, Tennessee; paternal great-grandparents, Linda (Glenn) Bevis of Florence, Alabama, Linda Turner of Hollow Rock, Tennessee; maternal grandfather, Jerry Depriest of Trezevant, Tennessee; paternal great-grandparents Allen and Paula McMinn of Gibson, Tennessee; aunts Ashley (Josh) Minton of Atwood, Tennessee, Michelle (Mark) Ghyers of McKenzie, Tennessee, Kayce (Chase Pentecost) Stafford of Atwood, Tennessee, Addie Mathis of Atwood, Tennessee and Presley Mathis of Atwood, Tennessee, Khrystian (Mark) Craven of Huntingdon, Tennessee; uncles Justin (Jessica) Carmichael of Ft.
