GLEASON - Peggy Jo Humphrey (Dewberry), age 73, formerly of Gleason, Tenn, died Tuesday afternoon, January 28, 2020, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis. She and her husband of 56 years, Anthony O’Neil (Tony) Humphrey lived in Bartlett, Tenn. Peggy had a brief work career and then chose to be a homemaker for her husband and two daughters, Tracy and Amy. Peggy, as a teenager and a member of First Baptist Church in Gleason, made a profession of faith accepting Jesus as her Savior. She and her husband are members of Bartlett Hills Baptist Church. Peggy said before her death that she had fond memories of family and friends while she was in school and living in Gleason. She was the daughter of the late Charles Lee (Charlie) Dewberry and the late Gladys Beauton Dewberry.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony, daughters Tracy of Dothan, AL and Amy (Joey) Caudle of Bartlett, six grandchildren, Sam Logsdon (Heather), Michael Logsdon (Kimberly), Caleb Logsdon (Stephanie), Jarrett Logsdon, Madison Rhoades, Dylan Rhoades, her two great-grandchildren, Addie and Grayson Logsdon, and her brother, Woody Patton (Pat) Dewberry of Tellico Village, Loudon, TN.
There will be no visitation. The graveside service will be Saturday, February 1 at 1 p.m. at Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason.
