HUNTINGDON, Tenn. - Mr. Richard Warren Chaney, 86, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Hillview Community Living Center.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2022 in the Chapel of Dilday-Carter Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greer-Chaney Cemetery. Brother Kenny Price officiating.

Mr. Chaney was born September 24, 1935 to the late Herbert Chaney and Geneva Griffith. Mr. Chaney served in the United States Army from 1955 until 1963, and worked for Huntingdon Primary School up until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia Chaney, one sister, Opal Cary, and one brother, Dona Chaney.

He is survived by his two sons, Ricky Claybough of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Richie Chaney of Huntingdon, Tennessee,  three granddaughters, Angel Chaney, Allison Chaney, and Aubrey Chaney; one grandson, Hunter Chaney, four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Jean Greer of Huntingdon, Tennessee, and Sue Norman of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one brother, Bill Chaney; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Dilday-Carter Funeral Home on Sunday, July 17, 2022, 5 to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers to serve are Ricky Clabough, Richie Chaney, Hunter Chaney, David Thacker, George Norman, and Christian Trevathan.
