McKENZIE, Tenn. - Funeral services for Mr. Robert Gaylon Sydnor are Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. Interment will be at the family farm.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 5 – 8 p.m. and Wednesday, 9 a.m. until service time. Mr. Steve Young and Brother Chance Steen will officiate. Pallbearers to serve are Garrett Sydnor, John Grant McConnell, Mason Huffstetter, John Sydnor, Anthony Sydnor and Tommy Neisler. Honorary pallbearers are Malcolm Horton and David Byrd, Jr.

Mr. Sydnor, 80, died Friday, July 22, 2022 at Tenn. HealthCare Volunteer Hospital, Martin.

He was a farmer and cattle farmer, a Carroll County Commissioner for 25 years and a member of McKenzie Church of Christ. He was born on November 22, 1941 in McKenzie to Robert Clarence and Lester Newbill Sydnor.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Baker Sydnor, a son, Clay (Meredith) Sydnor of Troy and three grandchildren, Garrett Sydnor, Maddie Sydnor and Jentry Sydnor.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Crocker.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked memorials be made to McKenzie High School FFA Chapter.
