McKENZIE, Tenn. - Funeral services for William Jerry Archer are Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. and Wednesday noon until service time. Interment is a Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Reverend Harrell Nation and Sister Tricia Trull are the officiants. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Knott, Larry Tippitt, Bobby Jack Cantrell, Rick Nelson, Stanley Cook, Jim Ward, Jim Padgett, Norman French, Pat Bishop, Gary Weirs, Ronnie Russell, Luke Prosser and Landen Johnson.

The family wishes for everyone to wear a mask for the visitation and the funeral service and to practice social distance.

Mr. Archer,  76, died Friday, January 15, 2021 at Jackson Madison Co. General Hospital.

He was born on February 8, 1944 in Fayetteville to the late William “Bunk” and Virginia McCown Archer. He was a member of McKenzie First United Methodist Church, a field supervisor for Tenn. Department of Human Services for 32 years and was awarded the State of Tenn. Speakers and Commissioner’s Award.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Emily Young Archer, daughter, Stephanie Archer Bolin and two granddaughters, Lexie Nicole Bolin and Emily Ann Bolin all of McKenzie.
