Thefts at City Parks — A city maintenance building at McKenzie Park was broken into and the keys to a city truck were taken. No other items were taken on the report filed May 27 by Officer Kyle Beauchamp. On May 28, Officer Beauchamp returned to the park where the concession at the baseball field was broken into. A computer monitor, DVR hard drive and Samsung remote had been stolen from the upstairs press box. The DVR was part of the park’s surveillance system. more

Assault — Phillip Richar Colwell, 58, of 888 Republican Grove Road, Trezevant, and Philip Charles Colwell, 37, of Milan were both arrested for aggravated assault, and Aston Steele Salmon was cited for simple assault, all during a May 21 incident involving numerous people in Atwood. more

Theft — Officer Kyle Beauchamp responded to Hillview Apartments on May 23 on a report of two pay-per-use clothes washing machines were broken into and the cash stolen. more

License Violation, Paraphernalia — Destiny Johnson, 27, of Huntingdon was charged with driving on a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia during a May 12 traffic stop in Huntingdon.  more

Drug Paraphernalia/Aggravated Criminal Trespassing — Officer Jeremiah Brooks was dispatched to a Forrest Avenue residence on Tuesday morning, May 10, regarding an altercation. Brooks spoke to the owner Stacy Hinson who stated that Joshua Gray, 41, Huntingdon, was back on his property after being asked to stay off the property. Brooks confronted Gray and initially arrested him for Trespassing. According to Brook’s report, he searched Gray locating a small box containing two compartments used to hold a smoking pipe and loose marijuana. Gray was additionally charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to Carroll County Jail. more

Drug Possession — Westley White, 40, of 33 St. John Church Road, McKenzie, was charged with possession of schedule II, schedule VI, and drug paraphernalia during an April 29 traffic stop near McKenzie. more
