McKENZIE (August 5) — On Saturday, football teams from sixteen different middle schools clashed at Randy Thomas Field for the annual McKenzie Jamboree. Three Carroll County teams competed, including McKenzie, Huntingdon, and West Carroll Middle Schools. Each team played two twenty-minute quarters on one half of the football field, allowing double match-ups to occur simultaneously. more
Rainy conditions forced the pre-season scrimmage between McKenzie and Lexington to be moved to Bethel University. The two and half hour event proved many positives for the hometown Rebels. Stafford Roditis hit two field goals (35 and 36 yards) and Timmy Arline found the end zone from 14 and 6 yards out. Tate Surber passed to Stafford Roditis for a 29 yard score. more

McKENZIE — The 2023 middle school football season kicks off Saturday, August 5 with the McKenzie Middle School Football Jamboree at Randy Thomas Stadium. Beginning at 4 p.m., local middle school teams will compete using half of the football field, allowing for two games to play simultaneously. The games are broken into two 18-minute halves with hydration breaks. more
