NASHVILLE — Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed the Tennessee Disability and Aging Act, legislation that merges Tennessee’s Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) and Commission on Aging and Disability (TCAD), creating a new Department of Disability and Aging (DDA). The bill received unanimous, bipartisan legislative support and was backed by numerous stakeholders. more

HUNTINGDON (April 8) — On Monday, the Carroll County Commission met approving a significant paving project to be undertaken by the Carroll County Highway Department. Carroll County received a $3 million portion of the grant, $2,961,173 from the state with the county spending roughly $68,000. Spectrum today announced The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center (The Dixie PAC) will receive $10,000 through the 2023-2024 Stand For The Arts Awards, a partnership with Ovation TV that recognizes local arts, cultural and educational organizations and programs.
