The McKenzie Boys Soccer team (11-3-2) ran into a juggernaut Tuesday, May 23 as they faced off against Madison Magnet (17-0-1). The Rebels lost 5-0 in the opening round of the TSSAA State Championship Series. Brice Becerra and Charles Damron had the only goal attempts for McKenzie. Goalkeeper Tellez Renteria had four saves in the matchup. Madison Magnet went on to win the 1A State Soccer Championship defeating Alcoa 3-2 in the final round. Photo Courtesy Jess Martin more
The McKenzie Rebels baseball team made a run at the state title for baseball but was stopped in their tracks by the East Robertson Indians. The Rebels split with the Indians but were sent home after their 2-5 loss on Thursday, May 25 at the Spring Fling in the TSSAA State Tournaments. more
With football season just around the corner, McKenzie Middle School announced a change in its football coaching staff. Coach Paul Carroll recently announced he will step down from his position as head football coach, making room for the third generation of Coach Chappells to step in. more
The McKenzie Rebels started off Wednesday with a 6-5 loss to the East Robertson Indians, but they battled back in the losers bracket and defeated the Bradford Red Devils 13-1 to secure their stop in the Class 1A State Semifinals. more

McKENZIE (May 1) — This year’s McKenzie Rebels baseball senior class owns a record of 59 wins and 25 losses. They are the defending champions of District 11 - A and Region 6 - A. During their junior season, this group of seniors helped lead the Rebels to a State Runner-Up finish in Class 1A. more
The McKenzie Lady Rebels fell to the Dresden Lady Lions 3-2 in extra innings on senior night. The Lady Rebels and the Lady Lions were tied 2-2 going into the eleventh inning before took the lead Dresden in the top of the inning. more
McKENZIE (May 5) — On Friday, the McKenzie Rebels baseball team hosted the Fighting Irish of Houston County. The Rebels picked up the 11-0 win along with the regular season district championship. Jackson Cassidy pitched four innings with Ty Anderson closing in the fifth. Cassidy pitched a one hitter with 10 strikeouts and Anderson had three strikeouts. more
The McKenzie Lady Rebels fell to the South Gibson Lady Hornets 9-2 Thursday night, April 27, between raindrops. The Lady Hornets had 11 hits for nine runs. more
The Houston County Fighting Irish defeated the McKenzie Lady Rebels 7-5 after stealing the lead in the seventh inning. more
The McKenzie Rebels defeated the McEwen Warriors 15-0 and 17-0 in a doubleheader at McKenzie. The Rebels and Warriors played a total of six innings for the day. more
The Lady Rebels defeated the McEwen Lady Warriors 8-0. The Lady Rebels scored three runs in the first inning to take a quick lead, then added to the lead in the fifth and sixth. more
The West Carroll Lady War Eagles topped the McKenzie Lady Rebels 7-5 in a contest on Monday, April 17. The Lady Rebels had four errors that cost them two runs that put the Lady War Eagles on top. more
The McKenzie Rebels topped the Greenfield Yellow Jackets 10-7 with a comeback in the second inning. more

After eight innings, the McKenzie Rebels defeated the Peabody Golden Tide 8-7. Ty Anderson singled up the middle to score the winning run. more
The McKenzie Soccer team defeated the Westview Chargers 3-2 Thursday night. The Rebels took a lead in the first period when Jesse Calderon scored and Guillermo Hickman scored. more
McKENZIE (April 2) — McKenzie Lady Rebels celebrate the second-straight state Class 1A Championship and the Rebels celebrated their second straight quarter-final appearance in the Class 1A championship series during a banquet held in their honor on Sunday, April 2. The MHS cheerleaders were also honored for their unyielding support and spirit for a 15-week long football season followed by highly successful basketball seasons. more

McKENZIE (March 29) — Madison Gilbert and Hannah Dillingham, seniors at McKenzie High, will continue their education at Bethel University and be a part of Bethel Lady Wildcats Soccer program. more
