McKenzie Elementary School’s Fall Festival King and Queen will be crowned during the event on Saturday, October 29, 2022. The festival runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McKenzie Elementary School, 165 Brooks Avenue, McKenzie, and also includes a costume contest, games and other fun activities. Nominations from each class in grades Pre-K through fourth have been announced.  more
HUNTINGDON — A number of bands competed in the annual Huntingdon Invitational on Saturday, October 1. Local bands involved included McKenzie, West Carroll and Bruceton-Hollow Rock. more

ATWOOD (October 6) — West Carroll Special School District Board of Education approved the Fiscal Year 22-23 budget, that began on July 1, 2022. Preston Caldwell, director of schools, said he waited until the three new board members took office before addressing the budget. more
McKenzie (October 4) — McKenzie Board of Education convened Tuesday, October 4 to select a textbook committee, a disciplinary committee, hear an update on the ESSER federal funds, and a proposal by Mayor Jill Holland to establish an alumni association. more
HUNTINGDON (October 1) — Saturday was a weather-perfect day for an all-day band competition in Huntingdon. Bands traveled from throughout west and middle Tennessee and Mississippi to Paul Ward Stadium on the campus of Huntingdon High School. more
McKENZIE — Bethel University’s Renaissance Regiment will host a marching band invitational on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Wildcat Stadium. more
The West Carroll Special School District (WCSSD) will have a work session prior to its regular meeting on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. at the West Carroll Junior/Senior High School library, 760 Highway 77, Atwood. more
McKenzie Elementary’s annual Walk to School day is Wednesday, October 6, 2022. Teachers and administrators will be in the front of the school at 7 to 7:45 a.m. on that morning. more

Bethel University is extending the waiver of standardized test requirements through the 2023 fall semester as a continued response to repercussions from the COVID-19 pandemic. This waiver is only applicable to traditional undergraduate programs through the College of Arts and Sciences. Students are required to submit official high school transcripts for admission. more

HUNTINGDON (September 24) — Huntingdon High School Alumni Association held its first-ever Mega Reunion with approximately 460 in attendance at the Carroll County Civic Center. The event was the culmination of the 29th Huntingdon Heritage Festival on Saturday, September 24. more
MARTIN —The outstanding academic achievements of undergraduate students at the University of Tennessee at Martin have been honored with publication of the Summer 2022 Chancellor’s Honor Rolls for the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences, College of Business and Global Affairs, College of Education, Health, and Behavioral Sciences, College of Engineering and Natural Sciences and the College of Humanities and Fine Arts. more
