Prices in Tennessee are 28.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 44.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. Inglenook Book Club held its monthly meeting on October 11, 2023, at 3 p.m., at Lakeside Senior Living Community, McKenzie. There were 16 members in attendance. President Moore called the meeting to order, and thanked her co-hostess, Victoria Ard for assisting her serving delicious carrot cake and chocolate cake, along with candy corn/peanut medley, and assorted beverages. The Pledge of Allegiance, Club Aim and Club Motto were recited by all. We had two guests present at the meeting-relative to member Jean McKinnie, and our local librarian-Ceil Pomphrey, who spoke to the group. NASHVILLE (January 29) — The Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) is announcing its participation in the 2024 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). The goal of the Summer Food Service Program is to ensure children 18 and younger, who benefit from meal programs at school, continue to have that same access to nutritious meals outside of school. more
