McKENZIE (August 22) — The McKenzie Rotary Club welcomed its newest member Drew Beeler into the organization. As part of the club’s weekly programs, Beeler was invited to speak about his developing businesses, Hometown Hangout, McKenzie Nutrition and Rolling Snow. Towards the end of the meeting, Beeler was asked by Rotarians to join the club. Beeler accepted the invitation. more

On May 6, 2023, the Carroll County Sports Hall of Fame added eight new members to the HOF at the annual banquet at the Carroll County Civic Center. The inductees were from the five areas of the county. McKenzie inducted Jerry Escue and Derek Carr. Huntingdon inducted Bill Ezell, Ray Crossno, and Danny Woodard. Hollow Rock – Bruceton inducted Jared Edwards; Clarksburg inducted Erica Yarbrough Sills; and West Carroll inducted David Hale. more
Jason R. Martin, manager of Tri-County Publishing / The McKenzie Banner, is the new president of the Rotary Club of McKenzie. Martin was installed by District 6760 Governor Eddie Allred at a banquet on June 27 at Hometown Hangout. more
McKENZIE (July 29) — There is a new service agency in McKenzie. Cachengo Closet is located in a small portion of the former hospital building on Hospital Drive. Other parts of the building will be used as a campus for the development of advanced computer technology and other services of Cachengo. more
Clayhill Motorsports Park has new owners, and they’re returning racing to the famed Atwood track. In a press release, a spokesperson says the new racetrack (formerly known as the Atwood Speedway, then Clayhill, LLC.) returns with a new name, new owners, and a new purpose. The race track opens to the public for the first time in over two years on July 27 with a Thursday night “Test & Tune,” the first of many races under the new owners. August 5 is the first official race date. more
HENRY (March 15) — Waddell Clinic Primary Care and Aesthetics opened its new clinic in Henry on Friday, March 15 and held a grand opening and ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. to great fanfare. more
McKENZIE (August 11) — Recently, the McKenzie Rotary Club hosted the senior football players from McKenzie High School. Coach Wade Comer spoke of the upcoming season and the challenges ahead. The senior members of the team introduced themselves and stated the positions they play on the team. more
HUNTINGDON (June 14) — Tennessee government, Carroll County government, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) leaders, state troopers, National Guard members, community members, friends, and family flooded the Carroll County Shooting Sports Complex at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 14, for the dedication of the Sergeant Lee Russell Waterfowl Refuge. more

HUNTINGDON (April 1) — Pam Tillis delighted the audience at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center on Saturday with her intimate three-lady band. Tillis provided the music that made her famous and had fun interacting with the audience. Known for her gold records and the daughter of famed Mel Tillis, Pam enjoys performing at age 65. more
