McKENZIE (June 7) — A new multi-purpose building and pay raises for teachers and other staff are represented in the proposed 2022-23 fiscal year budget of the McKenzie Special School District (MSSD). The local Board of Education convened in a budget workshop to discuss the details of the proposed $15.97 million budget. more
CARROLL COUNTY — Paralympic athletes Kirsten Sass and Amy Dixon coached the No Sight No Limits triathlon camp in Carroll County, June 11 and 12. Amy Dixon, an elite blind paratriathlete and 8-time World Triathlon gold medalist, founded Camp No Sight No Limits in 2017 to help visually-impaired athletes and guides train for future competitions. more

A box of 11-13 pounds is $30 and they will arrive fresh early July. Stop by during business hours or use PayPal us using cchstn@gmail.com to order. (June 6) — Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have risen 23.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.49/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 46.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand $1.62/g higher than a year ago. The price of diesel has risen 11.5 cents nationally in the past week and stands at $5.62 per gallon. more
