McKENZIE — This June, the Carroll County Humane Society began renovations, the first major changes made since moving into the building on Hwy 22 nine years ago. The remodel originally targeted replacing the floors, but it has since expanded to upgrading the dog kennels and repainting and adding new shelving in the cat rooms. more

HUNTINGDON — There was a quiet transition of ownership of Webb Dental Clinic on April 1, 2023. Dr. Billy Webb sold his family dental practice to Dr. Katelyn Robertson, who joined the practice in the summer of 2022 shortly after graduating from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center with a doctorate in Dental Surgery. more

MARTIN (March 22) — The mental health crisis in schools was discussed during the 2024 West Tennessee Education Summit held Friday, March 8, at the West Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center in Jackson. more

McKENZIE — Each year on Easter weekend, Overflow Church hosts a celebration for the town by offering a free carnival for children in the area. It is in celebration of the fact that through Jesus’ death on the cross, Jesus defeated death and sin and through his resurrection, He made a way for new life, righteousness and forgiveness, according to the local church. more
