HUNTINGDON (August 19) — The 2022 season for the McKenzie Rebels started with a bang Friday night as the Rebels picked up a 34-12 week one win over in-county rival Huntingdon. In their 92nd meeting, McKenzie’s speed on both sides of the ball left Huntingdon in search of an answer. Just as Mustang Head Coach Eric Swenson said in pregame interviews, “Speed kills,” Huntingdon’s home opener wish died with the opening kickoff.  more

PARIS — Several local teams were in action at the Henry County Jamboree including McKenzie, West Carroll, Henry County, and Dresden. more

The McKenzie Shooting Team worked hard last week in extreme 100-degree heat at the SCTP State Championship. Several shooters including rookies did well as the team won their first shoot-off as a team. more

McKENZIE (June 23) — A time of celebration was Thursday, June 23, when the McKenzie Lady Rebels 2021-22 basketball team were honored with championship rings signifying the 2022 Class 1A championship. more
Players, coaches and parents gathered at McKenzie High School’s cafeteria Monday evening, June 20 to celebrate an extraordinary season that lasted from mid-March through April and nearly through May before it came to an end in the Class A State Championship Game at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro. more
The MHS Softball Team celebrated it’s 2022 season with a year-end banquet at the high school cafeteria Thursday evening, June 9. After a meal of barbecue and chicken with the fixings catered by Big Daddy’s, Softball Head Coach Kristi Brown kicked things off with a review of the season expressing how good the team chemistry was with everyone working together. more
