McKENZIE (December 6) — McKenzie Lady Rebels and McKenzie Rebels squeezed victories over neighboring Greenfield in a Class 1A match on Tuesday, December 6 at McKenzie High School. more
CHATTANOOGA (December 2) — The McKenzie Rebel football team has brought gold home to McKenzie just in time for Christmas. The Rebels defeated Clay County Friday afternoon, 34-14. This was McKenzie’s first state championship win for football in three appearances at the state championship round, 2007, 2021, and 2022. more
McKENZIE (December 1) — Westview Lady Chargers (Class 2A) and McKenzie Lady Rebels (Class 2A), both state champions in their respective divisions, met in McKenzie for a rematch of the 2021 game that resulted in only one of two losses en route to the school’s first ladies basketball championship. more

McKenzie Rebels, 14-0, punched their ticket to the championship game after a resounding defeat of Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering in the semi-final contest on Friday, November 25. After earning a two-point victory one week earlier against Fayetteville, the 34-0 victory over MASE seemed as a cake walk to the Rebels. more
MEMPHIS (November 25) — McKenzie Rebels fans had Thanksgiving twice following the Friday, November 25 victory over Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering. The semi-final championship round was not much of a contest for the Rebels, 14-0, as they claimed a 34-0 victory over the Memphis team. more
McKENZIE (November 21) — McKenzie’s Lady Rebels hosted Huntingdon on Monday night, November 21 in a solo game due to the Rebels not having enough players not involved in football to put a team on the floor. Both girls’ teams had already seen basketball action with the season starting last week. more
McKENZIE (November 18) — McKenzie Rebels (13-0) advance to the semi-final round of the Class 1A football playoffs after an impressive 20-18 win over Fayetteville at Rebel Stadium. The Rebels met an outstanding team from Fayetteville, who matched the Rebels in skill on the playing field in this third round of playoffs. Rebel fans showed up and cheered for their home team despite the temperatures in the upper 20s. more
McKenzie 65, Greenfield 39 GREENFIELD (November 15) — McKenzie’s Lady Rebels opened the 2022-23 season in a solo game at Greenfield without the boys playing on Tuesday, November 15. more
ATWOOD (November 17) — McKenzie Middle made the short trip to West Carroll for a basketball night with the two teams splitting games. more
McKENZIE (November 11) — McKenzie Rebels are 12-0 on the season after their defeat of Moore County on Friday, November 11. The Rebels play Fayetteville at Rebel Stadium on Friday. Both teams are 12-0. Fayetteville defeated Dresden, 42-17, to advance to the quarterfinals. There are eight teams statewide remaining in Class 1A playoffs. more

NASHVILLE — For the second year in a row, a McKenzie Rebel has been nominated for Class A’s Mr. Football Award.  Last year, it was junior running back Marquez Taylor and this year it is senior quarterback Jackson Cassidy. more

ATWOOD — Cloudy skies, breezy winds, and a good crowd were on hand for the annual Centennial Bank Middle School All-Star Game between the North and South teams. more
McKenzie Middle School basketball tipped off November hosting West Carroll Junior High on Tuesday, November 1. The Lady War Eagles drained a three-pointer to take an early lead and maintained a slim 1-2 point lead throughout the first period until McKenzie hit a basket taking an 11-10 lead just seconds before the end of the first period. more
