HUNTINGDON (November 8) — The Huntingdon Mustangs hosted the Loretto Mustangs in the opening round of the TSSAA Football Playoffs for Class 2A. In what started as a back-and-forth nail-biter, Huntingdon found its momentum and racked up a 63-28 victory. They advance to the second round to battle the Riverside Panthers.

McKENZIE (November 7) — McKenzie Middle School hosted Gleason Thursday for a pair of basketball contests. The Lady Bulldogs took an early lead and held off a late McKenzie rally for a 19-12 win. After a tight first half, the Rebels pulled away in the second for a 38-22 victory.

NASHVILLE (November 7) — Semifinalists for the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Award were announced Thursday. McKenzie senior quarterback Tate Surber and Huntingdon senior quarterback Gray Eubanks were among the five semifinalists in their respective classifications.

Top 10 teams in each of the six Division I classifications and Top 5 in three Division II classes were selected by TSWA members with first-place votes in parentheses and total points based on 10 points for a first-place vote through one point for a 10th-place vote.

GLEASON (November 1) — Gleason School recognized two outstanding seniors, who have given their all for the Bulldog football program, and who participated in their final regular season football game at Parks Edwards Field. The Rebels likewise made their mark in the second frame, outscoring the Red Devils 7-0 en route to a 38-15 victory.

PULASKI (October 25) — On Friday, the McKenzie Rebels made the two-and-half-hour trek to Pulaski, Tennessee to take on the 3A Giles County Bobcats. Despite a slow first quarter, the Rebels picked up their ninth win of the season with the 47-14 victory.
